All excursions are open to everyone. You do not need to be a registered Convention attendee to attend, but you will still need to purchase tickets using the Convention form. All excursions were chosen with regard to member interest, 3D photography opportunities, and uniqueness to the area. Itineraries may be subject to some modifications due to weather. Excursions require a minimum enrollment and are subject to cancellation.
Excursion #1 - Tuesday July 21st, 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Evening Meet and Greet
This is a great opportunity to greet many of your friends that you only get to see once a year out on the Aviary Patio of the Cliff lodge. Enjoy beautiful mountain scenery and light snacks.
Excursion #2 - Wednesday July 22, full day 8:30 am - 5 pm
Salt Lake City Bus Tour
See many of the magnificent sights Salt Lake City on the Big Red Bus. Two 50 person buses will depart the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird resort at 8:30 am giving you the opportunity to see as many of the 19 sites as you choose. Some of your options include must-sees like Temple Square, the Tracy Aviary, Heritage Park, several museums, and Cathedral of Madeleine, Capitol Hill, Hogle zoo and more! Cost is $65 and limited to 100 people.
Excursion #3 - Sunday July 26, 3 - 6 pm
Afternoon Wildflower Shoot
The Snowbird shuttle will take people up to the natural area just two miles up the mountain. Guests can choose to make the one mile hike up to the lake or stay around the campground for additional opportunities to shoot the wide array of Rocky Mountain Wildflowers in the perfect light of dusk. The shuttle will be exclusively ours, so you choose how long you want to stay.
Excursion #4 - Monday, July 27th, full day, 8 am - 5 pm
Park City Olympic Center and Historic Railroad
Start the day with an exciting, scenic 90 minute private tour and ride on a train pulled by a renovated locomotive on the historic Heber Valley Railroad. The railroad is just one hour from the Snowbird Resort in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains. For more information see the website at hebervalleyrr.org or do a google search. Lunch is on your own in the famous mountain town of Park City Utah. Afternoon tour of the Park City Olympic Center, home of the 2002 Olympic Games and current Olympic training grounds.
